This skills profiling suite of forms is customised for use by Contracts, Bid, Legal and Procurement professionals in the IT, Communications, Services, Space and Defense sectors, and for those major organisations with a global spend on IT and Coms such as Financial Services, Oil/Energy, Transport and Retail.
The profile completed by the candidate documents skills, knowledge and experience in over 200 statements, grading as appropriate E (extensive), M (moderate), L (little), N (none) or A (academic). In order to achieve consistency in grading, a trained consultant reviews and discusses with the candidate their entries on the skills profile. When completed the information is retained in our database along with the personal résumé and used to check how well the professional profile matches a client's position description - against the client's mirror-image skills evaluation of their vacancy; the benefit to the candidate is that we can highlight strengths and weaknesses prior to meeting the client, enabling the candidate to prepare thoughtfully and maximise the interview opportunity.
The client completes a mirror-image profile coding key skills and experience as either E (essential) or D (desirable), or left blank to indicate the subject is of limited interest. The information is used as a tool to search the database for the résumé's of candidates whose skills and experience match the requirements; the client benefits through being able to review the candidate's skills profile prior to selection for interview and can plan specific conversation around strengths and weaknesses.
When we submit candidate details to a client, each is accompanied by the candidate's skills profile. Our service aims to provide the client with a short list of candidates who can offer Extensive or Moderate to at least 80% of the "Essentials"; the résumé and skills profile are forwarded with a one page summary from the interviewing consultant offering views in relation to the skills match and other skills/value the individual offers, as identified during interview/telephone interview.
Our business service delivers assurance that the facts as presented in the résumé have been quality checked (as far as legally possible), that the candidate has the experience and knowledge required and also highlights strengths and weaknesses.
